Plaintiff was injured while riding in a car driven by Miss Calbick when it collided with one driven by Mrs. Hagen and owned by her husband. Calbicks insurer paid plaintiff $7,500 for a release and covenant not to sue. The reasonableness of the settlement, of which the Hagens were duly notified, is not challenged. Plaintiff later sued the Hagens and their insurer (herein collectively referred to as the defendants) for her damages, and the defendants interpleaded Calbick and her insurer and cross-complained claiming contribution. Calbick and her insurer answered setting up the release as a defense, and moved for summary judgment. The motion was denied, and Calbick and her insurer appeal.
